Not much a surprise. Knowing the situation that they were in, it was clear this was not making money for the club and caused lots of conflict. Sales tanked when 90% of the club left. This was nothing but a big drain on them. Even years ago many folks stepped up encouraging the sale (including the scrap parts) and they refused.
No big surprise. However the spin is typical – they aren’t doing this for the members as they claim – they’re doing it because they have to… But that’s nothing the rest of the world needs to know.
It’ll be interesting to see how this deal works out for the vendors involved, should be good for them.
