      If not for that they need to sack the person responsible for giving out that last uncalled for caution. The race was almost over, the car in question was well clear of track traffic and there was NO reason to yet again kill the pace.

      Agreed. Nonetheless, the Viper looks like a strong competitor in this year’s races, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Still trying to secure tickets for that one.

      Pretty inauspicious beginning though, since restrictions and weight kept the Vipers 2 seconds out of the pole position — virtually at the end of the field to begin Sebring. Let’s hope the concession in the future is to give them back a better breathing motor and less weight. Over the years it seems the competitors always put the fear of the Viper in the minds of the sanctioning body and whereas you have a Porsche or the Corvettes running quicker laps the Snake gets constant supervision!

      I think you are spot on! The completion is afraid of the snake, pure and simple…..

      I hope there’s a protest. Porsche #912 should be assessed a post-race penalty for its earlier incident. Either way, #93 Viper represented itself well.
