I lurk on their website from time to time and I’ve noticed a change in the tone of some of their posts regarding the state of their club and becoming nastier. There have been a few pointed questions regarding the lawsuit but no answers. They have yet another new President who at least is trying to be more open and has posted a letter to the members on their home page laying out what’s going on. They also got thumped by the IRS for taxes from their first raffle which baffles me since they are a non-profit entity unless they lost that status for some reason (such as not filing the annual informational return).

After reading this I decided to go cruise the old club website,,, haven’t done that since leaving, frankly no reason to do so… I think once I was banned I was just done with them….. what I saw kinda surprised me….. there are many “enthusiast” registered with them which would lead me to think that many of our members are having a tuff time cutting the cord… I also noticed a few members with dual citizenship… not trying to secretive since they are using the same online names…..
yes I would agree they still don’t like us and the broom lady is really gung ho for the vca – good for her – but overall it just seems the river is still to wide to build a bridge between us of any sorts… seems were better of just doing our own thing and let time take care of what it will… I for one will not go do a look see again,,, I saw what I needed to see,,, I’m just curious after all this time why would anyone join both clubs? -
just got an email…
VIPER CLUB OF AMERICA WELCOMES A NEW REGION!
Viper Club of America is so excited to announce the addition of a new VCA Local Region: The GULF STATES REGION, headed up by an awesome and enthusiastic member – Lisa Rachall.
Lisa, some of you might know her as Broomrider, joined VCA in 2015. Since then, she has been active on the forums and has participated in several events in the No. Texas area; but, she wanted to do more. So, she volunteered to head up the area for Louisiana, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and parts of Texas.
Even at just a few weeks into the 2016 year, Lisa has been throwing out some great ideas to get this club moving. She and her husband have the time and ability to be able to organize and participate in VIPER Drives, Pick-Ups and Special Events. And, Lisa is ready to roll.
So, if you live in the Gulf States Region, keep on the look-out for Lisa. She is determined to meet you face-to-face, one way or another. I know y’all are going to have some fun this year!
Welcome Lisa, and Welcome Gulf States Region!

Their days are numbered. They just don’t have the capacity to be what they once were. Too many failed ventures.

I live in San Antonio and so had to “crash” that VOI event. It was sad to see the lack of participation but not surprised at all as another failed venture. Someone spotted me so I put on my VOA badge and walked out. Could not help it…..

VOA Presidents and Officers in regions of Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Alabama, Southern Texas, and Florida,
As the National VOA Membership Director it is my duty to keep our VOA Officers up to date
on information that might affect your regional membership.
I just wanted to notify you all of a push it seems the VCA will be
attempting to start a “Gulf States Region” which could impact or confuse our members. A
rather hostile individual Lisa Rachall or “Broomrider” (known for posting on the VCA forums) has
decided to become a president and recruit members for the new VCA region.
If you’ve ever read her posts on various forums, you’ll know the tone I’m talking about.
I wanted to mention this as I’m sure the usual email blasts to our VOA members will follow as I’m certain
our member information will be shared to her to solicit. I don’t want you blind sided by a question
that one of your members might ask you.I also want to caution as there have been some REALLY derogatory and
defamatory things posted on the VCA website, and they’re running rampant.
Much of it aimed at riling their members up against the VOA, which
unfortunately is easy to do when most of us cannot respond. A lot of this recent
stuff is tied to a desperation to gain more members ($$$) due to an ensuing
lawsuit levied against the VCA for not selling enough rooms, etc. for their last VOI
(which during the sales period was “nearly sold out”).
The hotel has sued the VCA to the tune of about $150,000. This happened over a year ago, but
the VCA has kept it quiet, but one of their members discovered the public
records in Texas and posted it on their website – and of course this
exploded into the usual issue of politics and lack of transparency in hiding
such a serious thing.http://apps.bexar.org/search/FullCase.html?id=CI000000000000001DC2014CI19574#history
They have no hope or desire to pay for the lawsuit or attorney fees.
They are already consigned to losing the lawsuit, not hiring an attorney and eventually
not paying the judgment and filing bankruptcy if needed. This has created a desperation within the VCA, it affects us as there have
been numerous posts made by them and misleading email notifications sent to our
members who left years ago because they still have our contact info. While I
don’t think we need to email our members as it just more of the same
nuisance, I just wanted you to be aware. Obviously it does demonstrate that
the VCA doesn’t have many real “active” regions, as a single region will
encompass 5+ states. We know this as many people who join their club contact
us and join because they soon realize there really isn’t much of a regional
presence. So just a heads up, being aware is probably good enough in itself.
Regards,
Randall
