As mentioned in an email to presidents and forum post to members a month ago, our elections are at hand. I previously introduced the current candidates to you all. We’ve had no changes since, and will now conduct the steps to complete the election. At this time, we do have people who have stepped up for each of the 4 roles. Though none of the roles are contested, we still want to go through the formal process.
I ask that every president take the time to vote, the results/actions will be documented for club record. Voting is open and will stay open for 2 weeks until Nov 1st. To vote, simply log in to the club portal (http://www.driveviper.com/portal) using your member number. Then simply click the “Vote” tab at the top of the screen. It literally takes seconds to do.
All regional presidents vote on the next national officers. We do encourage presidents to share discussion with others and collect opinions of your officers/members if needed. I’m posting here so everyone is aware. Presidents, please see the email sent to you. I want to thank all those who stepped up for the next terms! I’m providing their info again below for your reference. Thanks everyone!
Candidate for VOA National President – Beth Perry Sewell
Beth Perry Sewell lives in Houston, Texas. She owns a successful energy management company with clients across the nation in almost all deregulated states. She has been a Viper Club member since purchasing her first Viper roadster in 2008. She has been very active for the past 5 years in the Houston region, previously serving as Secretary and Treasurer. She is now the current Houston regional President as well as the National VOA Vice President. Beth is a track rat and loves driving road courses with her 2010 ACR-X. She’s also a roadster lover, owning #1 Medusa. All-in-all, they are a multi-Viper family with 5 Vipers in their stable (and even name all their cars…!).Candidate for VOA National Vice President – Kurt Robinson
Kurt Robinson lives in San Antonio, Texas. He is Vice President and Senior Project Manager for Robinson General Contractors, Inc., a successful commercial construction company in San Antonio. He has been a Viper Club member since buying his 2001 RT/10 in 2007. He served as the South Central Region President from 2011-2015 and has been reelected as South Central Texas regional President for the 2017-2018 term. He also serves as the VOA’s National Track & Racing Director. Kurt’s owned 6 Vipers in his history and currently drives a Viper truck and a Gen V TA 2.0 that he loves to take to the track.Candidate for National VOA Secretary – Ed Massena
Ed Massena lives in the New York, New York metro area. He is COO of a boutique communications company that creates customer TV networks for businesses. He has been a member of the NY/CT Viper Club since 2008, serving as Region Secretary for 2 years and is now in his second term as Region President for 2017-2018. He has owned two Gen 3 Vipers, and has over 40,000 miles worth of seat time in them including club events, coffee runs, track days, the occasional commute, and of course the large national events. He works tirelessly to foster a variety of events and looks forward to focusing that energy now at the national level.Candidate for National VOA Treasurer – Joe Boscia
Joe lives in central New Jersey, 25 miles south of NYC. He is well suited for the treasury function as he is a partner in his family’s CPA firm specializing in small business accounting and tax preparation. Joe is also currently serving as President of the VOA New Jersey region. Joe has a long history around Vipers even at a young age, by way of his father’s 20-year ownership of a 1996 RT/10. They’ve been members of the Viper club for more than 15 years. Joe currently owns a much newer toy, his beloved 2016 TA 2.0.Thank you to all of the above people for their interest. And for any others perhaps interested in future roles, feel free to ask, we have ways to mentor people so they can slowly dip their feet into this.
Thanks everyone!
