Early this year I was asked by the organisers of the Warren Classic and Supercar show if any members from the VOA UK would like their cars considered for entry this prestigious concours event.
Two members stepped up to the challenge, Neil Williams entering his GT2 / GTSR chassis No 52 and Barry Adams entering his Gen IV 1 of 1 White Viper ACR.
The two cars were in different classes, Neils car entered in the “Racing Sports and single seaters” and Barry’s car entered in the “Supercars” group. This is the first time Vipers have been invited to compete in a UK concours event and we also received VIP Hospitality with Buffet lunch and Live music 1940s style. There were some fabulous cars from all over Europe displayed on the grounds of the Golf course and Helicopter rides available for an aerial view of the event.
Well I am pleased to announce that Barry with his Gen IV ACR picked up the Second prize in the Supercar Group missing out on 1st place by just 1/2 a point!
The Judges were also very interested in the providence of Neil’s GT2 being 1st owned by Justin Bell.
