Shortly, we should have a designated area for our committee in which to review and tackle each website design need. There are several areas which Web Driver needs to have addressed presently. Until we have our own segregated area in which we can itemize each issue in separate threads, let's try to address things here. The following is a list of issues which need committee attention:
- Overall site: main templates
- Front Page: Text, text, text
- About page: Text, text, text
- Regions/Presidents: Text, text, text (and list of officers)
- Join Page: Membership levels (assoc, member, and mamba?), costs, and text text text (benefits, etc. take a look at http://www.viperclub.org/join/ for an idea of what I'm looking for)
- Documents section: I've spent the last two days trying to find a pre-built package which will do what we want it to. And they don't… so for now, I'm skipping it. Will come back to it after everything else is done.
- Forums: Done, except for the section which will auto sync forum users to club members.
Ahem….. π As I can’t edit that for you…… But to go with Web Drivers request….. π

This IS the Web committee section for those discussions… Only folks in the web committee usergroup can see this section.

Suggestion and then I will pipe down
Shouldn’t each of those items have their own thread so you have an easier time to keep track of decisions? By piling under one thread isn’t that going to get confusing? Signed ADD guy.

First, don’t pipe down. “Piping” is what you get paid for in here! π
Secondly, your point is exactly my point. Until WD can get to creating a designated Website Committee area (and he’s been pretty much consumed 24/7), let’s just work in here.
Alternatively and on second thought, I can break this out into separate threads in this area, but I still feel like we need our own venue to help build a committee consensus without view/opinion of others until we’ve consolidated a suggestion.
What do you folks think?
-
I’ve created threads for all the issues above except Documents and Forums. π Discuss. π
