So from what I understand theres gonna be at least two membership levels with the new association. A standard membership ($115) and then a “MAMBA” membership ($150). Im fine with both of those. I had the “VENOM” membership over at the VCA. I decided to get it once I bought my second Viper. For me it was a way to express my Enthusiasm both for the car AND for the club. Plus I felt giving the club a little exta $$ to help out was a good idea. Theres talk of “MAMBA” members getting express mailings on their magazines which I think is cool as well as other stuff which I can’t recall.

I’m courious as to how an associate membership would work.I like the idea as I believe we have one or two associate members to our ohio club. Would they pay dues to national VOA and then do they get a special badge on the site if they are a forum member. I would think their access would be no different then a regular forum member that hadn’t paid for an associate memberhsip.

I’m not sure where to start as far as text for the page goes.

This is still a fluid issue. There seems to be a growing consensus to keep one level of membership in terms of cost. Either owner or enthusiast. Still under discussion.

i think you can ask for a second level of membership, but everyone will be thinking WIFM? (whats in it for me?)

we will get complaints if we ask for more money, just so people can “feel warm and fuzzy inside”.

how about vendor coupons? 5% off? 10% off? who are our sponsors? free tire rotation or balance if you spend $500(?) at ________ dealership?

alex always has neat viper trinkets. how about a goodie bag with some of those trinkets in it? how about an exclusive polo shirt? it could say “VOA Mamba” on it or something like that. how about an exclusive event only for mamba members? event could be a private tour of CAAP or . . .? how about a free track day anytime during the year?

everyone should get a badge and the magazine. express magazine mailing? *yawn*

My 2 cents on the subject:

I do think Viper owners who use the clubs forums should be paying something as hey are using the site. However I do see many on the VCA that run “enthusiast” as they dont want to pay.

So do we charge for enthusiast as mentioned above? No. We can’t.

Many forums I work with I am a part of as I don’t need to pay. And as I am not there often enough, it is not worth my paying something.

We must also keep in mind that people researching a Viper will come here and obviously not want to pay to join the site to ask 1 or 2 questions.

Yes, you will notice my comment is full circle. I feel they should pay but also feel they shouldnt. LOL

One thing we must also think of is, if an enthusiast pays, does that mean he is a member of a Viper “owners” club?
