I usually run around at 32-33PSI in my Jeep JK and 35PSI on my half ton. Drastically depends on the tire, but I’m running BFG KO’s… I usually use the business card test, if you google it you will find examples. Essentially you take a business card and test how far it slides under one of the outer mud lugs and that can tell you if you’ve overinflated and the tire is cupping.

34 seems way low. I would have big bulges (I mean, Ya know, 4 MORE big bulges) at 34. Am at 4psi now and a tiny bit of bulge under the front tires. Wasn’t sure if I should inflate the. Higher to get rid of that.

Edit…noticed you were talking about your jeep. 34 makes sense on a jeep.

Wow. Been around trucks and tires and such a ton and never heard of this. Thanks for the tip. Will try it. I’m at 40 now and think I am about right.

The reason I ask though is I have always found real world experience differs from what manufacturers say.

What PSI do you guys recommend running on the street on BFG MT’s? I have always run All Terrains. Pathfinder ATs years ago, then switched to the Nitto Terra Grapplers which I loved. Never got stuck with in mud. Haha, came close once but was all good. And I was going to switch to the more aggressive Nitto Trail Grapplers but they were back ordered and I didn’t feel good running around any longer on my tires because they needed replaced so I went with the BFG MT for the first time.

What PSI would you guys run around on for the street on a half ton?

      Thanks.
