Wow interesting. I’ll have to order one up and see how it does!

I could not find the repair kit anywhere on the site. I need one. Any suggestions?

This is a new product and they may not have it on the site yet. I would call The Viper Store at 352-688-8160.

What about for Gen 2?
I bought the replacement guide off a 99 Caravan regulator. I just have no idea how to put it back together, or how to take the window out. Got the door panel off and everything. Just not very mechanically inclined person.

Josh, This might help: https://driveviper.com/forums/threads/20903-Replacing-window-regulators-and-general-inner-door-panel-removal
There are several others.
I entered “regulator” in the search at topGood luck

What would happen if you mounted the steel reinforcement on the other side of the very same regulator? Then, wouldn’t it sit flush against the plastic? Never mind, looks like you’re doing it right. Difficult to understand perspective with your photos zoomed in.
You’re doing it the same way it was done earlier on another project.

Looked at my old broken regulator. It looks the same. It was a pain to get the right bend to reach those “ear” loops. On one side I got frustrated and dremelled the transition to it so it’s not a sharp 90 degree bend.

Moving this to Gen V forum.

https://theprowlerstore.com/Products_Page_Parts_Upgrades_Replacement_Parts_Door_Window_Regulator.htmThe Viper Store is now offering a window regulator repair kit similar to the one offered for sale at The Prowler Store. Chris at The Viper Store used my broken regulator with the commonly cracked PVC lining to develop the kit. The repaired regulator was easy to install and now works like new with no noise or binding.
I put over 56,000 miles on my orange TA in 4.5 years and have gone through 4 window regulators. I am very excited about this product. The cost of the kit is around $ 69.95.
