No, there is no convenient passage. Everything electrical in the trunk area (lights, trunk latch etc) is supplied by the wire harness you see running down the left side of the trunk lid to the hinge. Bundle goes through grommet at the base of left trunk lid gas strut and into left wheel well. Pull the left wheel and the splash shield and you will be able to see where it goes. My guess would be that it simply runs externally along the frame to the engine bay area. If this is the case, should be no problem to run a few extra small gauge wires along the same route. Now, if you are looking to power an amp with a 1.0 gauge wire, that will be a bit more drastic.

I didn’t want to drill any holes in the car so I came up with this solution. I removed one of the license plate lamp screws and I ran the laser shifter wire through the screw hole (Note: I also used a grommet). This way I can easily return the car to stock if I want to remove the laser shifters. I zip tied the screw I removed to the harness so I wouldn’t lose it.

The only downside to this approach is that you will need a telephone cord crimp tool kit to replace the modular connector. These kits are pretty inexpensive.

Well, i pulled it all and traced it up, it runs along the trans tunnel, ends up at the firewall grommet and into the cab. I already fished in two shifter wires(front) through the grommet and that was a tight fit, im not going to run four through there lol. looks like im going to drill a hole right beside the ebrake cables in the cab, as im mounting the head unit under the console. For the rear, i am drilling into the trunklid to mount the shifters(though, just small screws, will fill with tiny plugs if i ever sell. For the wires like ez2bgreen i will drill out the light and run wires through there.

Is there a passage from the trunk to the cabin on a viper? Running some laser shifters on the rear, and before I totally remove every panel I want to have a half ass idea where it is.
