Man that’s so crooked. Hope they burn.

I read that story a couple days ago. I guess I’m naïve, but it surprised me.

Every Ferrari I have looked at for possible purchase has been in Florida where supposedly those dealers are the main culprits.
One dealer (salesman) told me that most every exotic probably has had a front nose repaint. This was before the widespread use of clear bra of course. -
Hiding a repaint is dishonest. Rolling back the odometer is illegal. I hope the Feds through the book at them. Then again with the odometer discrepancy issues with the Venom Controllers, I think the Vipers will also face scrutiny in the community but FCA will be immune on that one.
These things will screw it up for the rest of us, all brands. No good will come from this.

Don’t you guys have to have an emissions test each year? Is the mileage of the cars not recorded on the smog test paperwork?
Surely even if a cars mileage is rolled back there must be a papertrail?

Most states don’t get a smog or inspection report for the first 6 years or so. The owners just pay a small abatement fee. Nobody is really looking at these things closely.
There has been rumor of this happening all over the place and frankly after inspecting a number of 2-4K mile 430 scuds before I got my ACR I believe that this is much more common then you would expect. I just assumed that a few of them were owned by rough owners never that they had more miles then they showed but I guess that is now possible.

Thanks for the info.
