JUST found this thread.  Gotta get used to these forums and lack of notifications I guess.

      SOOOO:

NEVOA’s 2023 calendar is in full swing.  Next event is the boat cruise (sign ups have closed) happening this weekend.

This weekend (the 9th) is the deadline for the Maine museum / cruise / lunch.  If you haven’t received the emails, let someone from the board know.

FYI: the 2023/24 board is: Pres, Austin B. VP, Richard T. Sec, Crystal H. Tres, Becky W. Event Coord, Crystal H and Tim M.  Advisor, Martin D.

I can be reached anytime via text and will respond ASAP.  (401)-439-3095.

A lot of effort goes into NEVOA’s calendar of events and we look forward to getting as much participation as possible.  I’ll try to post pictures of our events on this forum.

      Hello all!

In case some of you reading this had not seen the NY/CT region post about it, I’m dropping a quick reminder for the Lime Rock Park Autocross Day.

      Saturday, July 29.  8:30am – 4:30pm

Last year, we had VOA members from 6 VOA regions attend.. let’s beat that number this year!

Lime Rock Park is in the Northwest corner of Connecticut, 20 minutes from the Massachusetts border or 90 minutes from Springfield.

The NY/CT region has been hosting this for 10 years.   It’s the best way to get familiar with your Viper in a non-threatening environment.  Speeds rarely exceed 85mph, so you’re learning to brake, turn, and accelerate at reasonable limits with lots of run off room and no passing.  Having said that, we cater to ALL ability levels, so if you’re an advanced driver, come sharpen your skills with some of the fastest in the Northeast!

No helmets or special safety gear required, passengers welcome, instructors available (free) all day.   You won’t burn a set of tires or brakes like a full track day either.  You can’t find more fun or more opportunity to improve.

VOA members from any region are welcome.  We’re having a reception Friday night before the event and a dinner Saturday night after the event, so if you’re traveling some distance, you’ll enjoy the camaraderie as well.

check the signup page for a track image and more info.  We hope to see you there!
